Diann's PhotoArt
For me, the visual experience is very intimate. Exploration through this sense of the visual entitles the viewer to their own interpretation and personal journey. I respect and accept the challenge of trying to understand the relationship between form, light and energy. It is my hope always to capture the visual moment as it unfolds in front of me in an effort to grasp it, contemplate it and share through the photographic and art process.
I enjoy the unplanned moments that inspire the taking of a photograph, that moment of unexpected awe, the natural act of expression that flows mutually through both me and my immediate surroundings.
Man Ray, Minor White, George Hurrell, William Gottlieb, Caravaggio, Artemisia Gentileschi and Modigliani are just a few that through their work, to my mind, have offered the viewer a deeper realization into the human soul and an understanding of their world, thereby reminding each viewer to get out of their own way and simply allow the art just to happen.
“Through the view of a lens, capturing a moment; image as is or exploring its transformation”
